Military Airport Prachuap Khiri Khan
Flights from and to Prachuap Khiri Khan
Prachuap Khiri Khan is a military airport, where the unit Wing 53 of Royal Thai Air Force is stationed. The ICAO code, or the location indicator of the airport is VTBP.
Although civilians can enter the military base, but no civilian air traffic runs on this airfield.
The airport of Prachuap Khiri Khan has a very idyllic place at the foot of the Temple mountain Khao Chong Krajok. The only 1000 meters long runway ends just a few meters before the Gulf of Thailand, so that only small planes can land there.
The larger runway has a length of 2060 meters.
The two runways cross each other, so that no matter from which direction the wind blows, the pilots can practice a perfect takeoff or landing.
